Dubbed by Miles Davis as “one of the most impressive musicians in the world”, the legendary self-taught composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist has been an influential figure in Brazilian music for over half a century. Nicknamed O Bruxo (“the Magician”), Pascoal sees music as a life force, emanating organically from everything on Earth – which leads him to use objects as diverse as corks, teapots and stone bowls. At Musiques en été, he’ll share the stage with his Grupo, an extra-sensory musical unit that has been backing him for over 40 years and that is used to rehearsing every day!
