Internationally acclaimed Franco-Algerian artist Souad Massi is viewed as one of North Africa’s finest female vocalists. Compared to Joan Baez or Tracy Chapman, she has become a fixture on the folk/rock scene over her twenty-year career. Driven by an unfailing determination to speak out for what she values most, freedom and justice, her songs are steeped in love, altruism and bravery, with a constant will to eradicate intolerance. This summer she’ll present her tenth album Sequana, whose soundscapes include the Sahel, the Caribbean, Brazil, and a touch of rock… Her music is one of encounters, contrasts, and cultural blending, and will win you over with its moving humanity.

This concert is part of the Fête de la Musique 2024.
