From flamenco to blues and dazzling “bel canto” vocals: the Geneva Chamber Orchestra and South African soprano Pretty Yende will take you on a world tour in just over 60 minutes. Hailed for her exceptional voice and mesmerising presence, Yende, born in 1985 in a township in Piet Retief, has shone on opera stages all over the world. In 2023, she was invited to sing at the coronation of Charles III, sharing her passion for opera with tens of millions of television viewers. A consecration for the singer who speaks of opera as a “gift to humanity”, adding that “there is something divine about this art that must be shared”.
