Hermon Mehari feat. Faytinga

Trumpeter Hermon Mehari was born and raised in Kansas City, USA, his family having fled the war in Eritrea in the 1980s. A Parisian by adoption since 2015, the gifted instrumentalist draws on his origins and ancestral culture in this project that connects the melodies of the Horn of Africa with free, narrative jazz. Eritrean diva Dehab Faytinga, one of Eritrea’s most acclaimed voices and a heroic figure in the country’s war of independence, will join him on this spellbinding journey to the capital Asmara for a deep, militant, and emancipating musical journey.
